Tonight we chat with Cherida about how it came about, what you can expect, and when you can go!

How did KX Retreats come about? Aaron launched KX Retreats in 2012 two years after founding KX Pilates as he saw a gap in the market for fitness inspired getaways. So instead of most people coming back from holidays feeling tried, over weight and in need of another holding he created a KX Retreats where you can still escape to divine overseas destinations (such as Vanuatu and Bali) and come home feeling fitter, stronger, healthier, revitalised and relaxed.
The most rewarding part of your job? It combines all the things I LOVE: Fitness, clean eating, beach and meeting amazing people!
Your retreats sound great– what can we expect? KX Retreats are all about the guest. Guests can expect daily fitness work outs (with the option to join in or not) such as boxing, TRX, Interval training sessions, yoga, dynamic pilates, beach walks/runs.
What makes your retreat different to all the others? We cater for all people and all fitness levels; from guests who want to train hard all week to guests who just want to join in the training that suits them. We can be as hard or as soft as you like. We believe that like everything moderation is key so we will also be taking guests for sunset cocktails (after all they are on holiday as well!).
Favourite place in the world? This is such a hard question for me!! I love Hawaii, Tuscany, NYC but as of next year it could quite possibly Irriki Island!
What would be the take home message you wanted to give your guests on retreat? KX retreats is all about getting fit, clean eating and having fun and relaxing in the sun. What more could you want! Make 2015 the year to invest in your health!
What kind of food can we expect? All meals are included and we work with the chefs to make sure the menu is made with as many wholefoods as possible, is nourishing and clean eating. From fresh fruits, salads, lean meats, seafood, rice, spices and amazing tropical flavours.
Do we have to participate in everything whilst on retreat, or can we have a chilled out morning if we feel the need one day? Absolutely! You may go to bed one night planning to participate in everything the next day but wake up and think actually today I’m going laze by the pool all day – and that is totally fine!
What are your essentials to pack for the trip? Active wear, sneakers, bathers, beach towel, sunscreen, hat, maxi dress.
