Thick, Rich Dairy Free Hot Chocolate
You're working late, it's freezing cold, you're stressed out and overworked. You crave chocolate but know you'll eat the whole block and don't want to ruin your good work at the gym. Let me introduce you to the hot chocolate that loves you back!
Cacao contains a stimulant and mood booster called theobromine. Maca has adaptogenic properties meaning it can help balance out hormones that have gone wild and may help manage stress. 400ml almond milk
2 tsp maple syrup (or to taste)
2 tbsp cacao powder
1/2 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp maca powder
1 tsp mesquite powder (optional)
1 tsp of vanilla extract
In a small pan over medium-high heat, combine all ingredients together and stir until the mixture only just starts to bubble. Remove from heat, and serve!
